Orange garlands are a super popular Christmas decor choice these days and I’m all about it. They’re so simple, so vintage-y and classic.
These garlands are a super easy and fun holiday DIY, so if you’re wanting to deck your halls with one, read below to learn how to make your own!
(You could also use the dried orange slices on Christmas gifts, paired with my Minimalist Gift Wrapping!)
What you’ll need:
- Oranges
- Parchment paper
- Cookie sheet
- Twine (any sort of string will do)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to about 250 degrees
- Cut your oranges into slices (careful not to cut them too thin or they will burn, too thick and they won’t dry out very well. About 1cm thick)
- Use a paper towel to dab off as much of the excess juice from each slice as possible
- Cover your sheet with parchment paper and place the slices on top
- Put them into the oven and bake for about 3-4 hours, flipping every 40 minutes
- Once dried, let cool before stringing them.
It’s as easy as that! Merry Christmas <3
(Note: You cannot store these for use for the next year, they will have to be thrown away!)
