EASY $3 Minimalist Christmas Gift Wrapping DIY

December 14, 2017 DIY's, Lifestyle

minimalist gift wrapping

“Brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things.” –The Sound of Music

There is something about brown paper packages that have stolen my heart! I just love the minimalistic simplicity of them and sweet holiday touches! If you’re looking for a cute and inexpensive way to wrap your gifts up this year, then this would be an excellent idea! It’s totally fun, and turns out so, so stinking cute.

What You’ll Need:

  • Brown wrapping paper (Can be found at the dollar tree…FOR A DOLLAR)
  • Bakers twine (Can also be found at the dollar tree in the craft section, for a dollar!)
  • (Optional) Greenery (Can be found outside hehe!)
  • (Optional) Brown Twine (Can be found at your local craft store or Walmart!)
  • Christmas tags (Make your own or buy! I made my own!) OR a pen to hand letter the “To & From” directly onto the packages!

Step 1.)

Wrap your gift up in the brown paper. Use clear tape for a cleaner look!

Step 2.)

Tie the twine around the package! Spice it up by doubling the colored AND brown twine. But it turns out super cute simply using one or the other. If you are using gift tags, DONT TIE YOUR BOW YET!

Step 3.)

Before you tie the twine off, slip your gift tag onto it. Nowww you can tie it 🙂 If you’re using gift tag stickers, or nothing at all, then you may go ahead and tie off the twine. Another idea is to hand letter the “To & From” onto your packages. That turns out super cute as well, and you don’t have to buy tags or stickers.

I love to add a sprig of greenery. It is such a natural, simple, and pretty touch that totally gives off all of those Christmas vibes, ya know?! I slip it underneath the bow and tag, sometimes adding a small piece of tape to keep it in place!

You’re all done! Your gift is entirely ready to stick it underneath the tree, take to a Christmas party, or given directly to a friend!
