Immediately after Thanksgiving I started brainstorming all of the things I wanted to do during the Christmas season! The more things I thought of the more I realized I probably should write it all down so I don’t forget anything. (And also because I find checking things off of a list deliciously satisfying haha!)
So here is our list, and I’ve put checks beside the things we have already done and boxes by those we have yet to do. Will we do everything? Who knows, but it’s awfully fun to try 😉
Bucket List for December
✓ Put up our Christmas Tree
✓ Listen to Christmas Music
✓ Attend our town’s Christmas Tree lighting
â—½ Craft/Make a Christmas decoration of sorts
✓ Listen to my December Playlist
✓ Light a Christmas themed Candle
✓ Drink Hot Cocoa
✓ Watch Frosty the Snowman
✓ Watch Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
â—½ Watch A Charlie Brown Christmas
â—½ Watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon classic is my personal fave!)
✓ Watch a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie (the one we watched wasn’t even good though haha, so I think we need a redo on this one!)
â—½ Watch Home Alone
â—½ Attend a candlelight service
â—½ Drive around to look at Christmas lights
✓ Read a Christmas-y book (I’ve got a whole line up of Christmas-y books for this month!)
✓ Make a Gingerbread House as a family
â—½ Decorate cookies with Nora
â—½ Choose what books I want to read in January
✓ Do a Christmas craft with the littles (they painted Ornaments!)
â—½ Eat Candy Canes
â—½ Spend a cozy evening wrapping presents
â—½ Stay up until midnight on Christmas Eve (it’s a tradition around here haha)
â—½ Watch the Polar Express on Christmas Eve (and pause at the hot chocolate scene to make hot chocolate, thennnn you can continue the movie–also a tradition)
â—½ Read Jesus’ birth story on Christmas morning

I have a feeling we’ll do it all! Fun and festive things don’t have to be extravagant. Sometimes it’s the simple moments just being together that make for the best memories! Do you have a December Bucket list? I hope that you have a blessed and joyful Christmas season, friend, regardless of what you do (or don’t!).
