Homemade Croutons

Cook Time 15 minutes
Author Michaela

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves (you can sub with 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 tsp dried onion flakes (or onion powder)

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Whisk oil and seasonings together in a large bowl.
  • Cut your bread into 1 inch or so cubes (or smaller/larger if preferred)
  • Toss your bread cubes around in the oil/seasoning mixture until all cubes are coated. (If you find you need more oil/seasonings for the amount of cubes, I recommend just making a second oil/seasoning mixture, or another half of the oil/seasoning mixture). You can also try one to see if you'd like to add anymore seasoning to your preference.
  • Spread cubes on the baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes or until crisp, crunchy, and browned
